SO WHY DO YOU NEED A MANAGER?
If the details above still has not convinced you that it is always advisable to have a manager then let me explain and give you some more reasonsArtist Managers work hard to ensure that your dreams come true, It is hard for the artist to really focus on what they do best as well as try and manage their careers, at times it is difficult for the artist to know what to do for the best, your manager will deal with all this for you, they can see the 'bigger picture' and know exactly how to get you there, and help you to avoid the pit falls, they can navigate you through the confusing maze that is the performing arts industry,Your manager will focus on you, know exactly how to promote you to the world of the music business, to booking agents, media, record labels and so on, they will know exactly how to keep all these people interested in you,  Your Manager gives you credibility, many music industry professionals work on the thought that if an artist is good enough to have a manager then they must have something worth looking at, many industry professionals do not look twice at an act that has no representation, as they feel that working directly with the artist them selves can be too much, they want to work with a professional who knows the industry and can make decisions on a non emotional basis and a cool head.A manager will free up your time, leaving you to concentrate on you and your act, they will deal with all the aspects of your career that you either do not have time to do, or do not have a clue how to do, They will deal with all the problems that may come your way, such as making sure that payment arrives on time, making sure that the contracts are correct and signed, making sure your diary does not clash with events booked , maybe you need the manager to play the bad guy and deal with all those difficult  things, lets say you want a band member gone but you cant deal with it? Maybe you want an event to pay you more money but you don’t want to ask? Well this is what a manager is for and so much more. A manager can give you fresh ideas, they may see things with a different outlook and be able to give you a completely different point of view, always run your ideas past your manager, they could really help shed some different perspectives on the issue
